Saskia Vendel studied architecture at the Delft University of Technology. After her graduation in 2001 she worked for various Dutch design firms in the field of landscape architecture and urban design. Her fascination for the metropolis and rapidly changing urban environments made her join the Dynamic City Foundation in Amsterdam and set up the DCF design and research project Urban China 2020 together with Neville Mars; in 2004 she moved to China to set up the DCF studio in Beijing. The DCF projects she has contributed to include urban and interior design, research and various articles that have been published internationally. Saskia now lives in Beijing, PRC.
