Schienke holds a Ph.D. in Science and Technology Studies from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He is currently a postdoctoral fellow at the Rock Ethics Institute and a lecturer in the Science, Technology, and Society Program at the Pennsylvania State University, where he is engaged in research on the ethical dimensions of climate change.
