Combining new media technologies with traditional tools of installation
art production, fakeshop projects incorporate architecture, video, surveillance,
net broadcasting, and performance elements. F/shop brings these elements
together in a collaborative approach, with personnel expanding and contracting
depending on the particular work being produced.

This focus on ‘situational’ architectures and architectural situations has led
into an exploration of human scale, especially into the realm of capsules,
compartments, modular building blocks, and interior performative spaces
designed for the individual human gesture.

Moving currntly into a more intensive use of 3D virtual worlds and online
MMUG platforms, audience interaction and instigational performance continue
to play a part of this strategic. Schemes in this direction include interventions
into found exterior space such as 798 dashanza distrct in Beijing, Williamsburg
bklyn, etc. 2007 projects in Beijing will incorporate the online social network
communities, chatrooms, multi-user gaming environments, video surveillance etc.
