Chang Liu’s Bio

24 year old architecture student currently finishing his 3rd year degree at UEL, UK. Born in Beijing and moved to the UK since I was eleven. Studied Electrical and Electronic Engineering at UCL before personal interest in architecture and urbanism lead to a change of degree. Finished first year of my undergraduate at the Bartlett school of architecture in UCL. After finishing second year in UEL I visited my birthplace, where I had the opportunity to design the interior of a shop, which was favourably received by the local press. In the summer of 2005 I joined DCF in Beijing. While embroiled in research for Dynamic Density chapter my interest where I was increasingly drawn to how macro level policy affect the evolving spatial distribution of cities. The chapter Policy Sprawl is a response to some of the problems and unexplained observations made by Dynamic Density Chapter and indeed the rest of the book.
